SULT1A1 and cancer: The analyses on the full data set indicated a significant association of the SULT1A1 Arg213His polymorphism with cancer risk: heterozygous (OR = 1.09, 95% CI = 1.01–1.19, P = 0.035), homozygous (OR = 1.20, 95% CI = 1.04–1.39, P = 0.014), dominant (OR = 1.12, 95% CI = 1.03–1.22, P  =  0.008) (Figure S1), recessive (OR = 1.16, 95% CI = 1.02–1.32, P = 0.027) and allelic model (OR = 1.11, 95% CI = 1.04–1.20, P = 0.003), with high heterogeneity among studies (I2 = 63.1%, 62.6%, 68.5%, 58.3% and 73.7%, respectively, all P<0.001)(Table 3).
