gondii antibodies significantly expressed IL-17 by CD4+ T cells (Th17) in cultures stimulated with live T. gondii tachyzoites, which is in consonance with results from Kelly et al. [24], who found that mice infected with T. gondii are capable of inducing a significant immune response, which is stimulated by IL-17, against parasites in the early stages of infection.
