One of the strongest prognostic markers for CLL is the mutational status of the immunoglobulin variable (IgV) heavy chain at the rearranged VDJ region constituting the BCR, dividing the disease into IgV-mutated (IgV-Mut) and unmutated (IgV-UM) CLL, with IgV-UM having the worse prognosis [2],[3]. Here, BCR is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
