Therefore, based on the aforementioned results and in an effort to find solutions to health issues, such as cerebral infarction, these studies suggest that Rho GTPases, p120 catenin, and CDK5 are primary effectors that function in coordination in the recovery of the structure and function of the NVU after cerebral ischemic infarction in a cell type-specific manner (Figure 2).
