TNF and juvenile idiopathic arthritis: With mean (SD) duration of follow-up of the JIA subgroups of “biologics-naïve methotrexate group” for 5.93 (2.08) years (2030.08 patient-years at risk), “anti-TNF biologics-containing” 3.46 (1.82) years (386.73 patient-years at risk), and “both methotrexate- and biologics-naïve” 6.60 (1.10) years (16114.16 patient-years at risk), we did not observe a statistically significant increased risk for cancer in JIA subgroups treated with methotrexate (RR 2.02; 95% CI, 0.67 – 6.04) or anti-TNF biologics (RR 2.07; 95% CI, 0.36 – 11.49) (Table 3).
