PECAM1 and odontogenic neoplasm: Based on the fact that (i) previous studies have demonstrated that amelogenin, β-catenin, and CD44 are related to odontogenic tumors [9–13], (ii) this reported lesion presented with fiery red appearance and abundant small blood vessels in histological section, and (iii) CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1)) is the most well-known cell marker for endothelial cell [14], we did an immunohistochemistry of amelogenin, β-catenin, CD44, and CD31 for the tissue sections of this case to obtain cellular and molecular information.
