FGF2 and central nervous system disorder: Uranishi et al. compared the dural VEGF and bFGF expression in patients with DAVF and associated venous sinus thrombosis and in patients who died of non-central nervous system diseases and found that the VEGF and bFGF expression levels were relatively low in the control group; the main locations of VEGF and bFGF expression were the subendothelial layer, middle vascular layer and perivascular tissue [9].
