C9orf72 expansion has been observed in the majority of FALS cases [8], but many other genes have been involved in ALS etiopathogenesis such as Tar-DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43), fused in sarcoma protein (FUS) [9], and superoxide dismutase (SOD1) [10]. This evidence concerns the gene TARDBP and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
