The fact that removal of hyaluronan also causes E-cadherin translocation to the plasma membrane in the transgenic mouse model and in a hyaluronan-rich human NSCLC biopsy sample further justifies the relevance of the hyaluronan-rich tumor model and highlights the role of extracellular hyaluronan in the early EMT-associated events.
