Ponzetto et al. [9] investigated the risk factors affecting mortality in 987 hospitalized patients aged ≥70 years and determined functional impairment, medical condition-related disability, cerebrovascular disease, cancer, an albumin level of 3–3.4 g/dL, a creatinine level of 1.5–3 mg/dL, a creatinine level of >3 mg/dL, and a fibrinogen level of ≥452 mg/dL as the independent risk factors for in-hospital mortality. Here, ALB is linked to cerebrovascular disorder.
