The quantification of KI67+ cells at different time points in four groups is shown in Figure 5a.I/R animals exhibited prominent infiltration of CD68-positive macrophages in the tubulointerstitial compartment of the renal cortex and outer medulla in kidneys at 3 days post AKI (Figure 5b), consistent with the acute inflammatory response following I/R injury. This evidence concerns the gene CD68 and acute kidney injury.
