Our present study indicated that TFC and TNC significantly inhibited the migration and growth, and induced apoptosis in the lung cancer cells as well as suppressed the PI3K/Akt and NF-κB pathway by reducing the phosphorylation and expression of Akt and the NF-κB expression and DNA-binding activity, and activating the apoptotic pathway of Bcl-2/Bax-mitochondrial- caspase-3 in the lung cancer cells. The gene discussed is TNC; the disease is lung cancer.
