CYCS and liver cancer: The golden point in our findings is that (250 μg/mL) concentration of D. kotschyi extract significantly caused H2O2 production, collapse of mitochondrial membrane potential, mitochondrial swelling, and cytochrome c release or disruption of mitochondrial outer membrane integrity in the liver mitochondria obtained from DEN+2-AAF treated tumoral but not nontumoral control rat group during 60 min of incubation (P < 0.05) which proposes Dracocephalum kotschyi as a promising anticancer plant acting on liver cancer cell mitochondria.
