BRCA2 and serous adenocarcinoma: In a recent population-based cohort of 1001 Australian OC patients, 141 (14.1%) were found to carry a pathogenic mutation in BRCA1 (88 patients) or BRCA2 (53 patients), the proportion being 16.6% when only serous carcinomas where considered and increasing to 17.1% in patients diagnosed with high-grade serous cancers.
