Although work from our laboratory and other laboratories have previously provided data for the functional role of miR-137 and IGFBP3 methylation in colorectal cancer [21], [44], additional in-vitro and in-vivo studies in this regard may further facilitate in gathering a better understanding of the biological roles of these biomarkers in colorectal carcinogenesis. Here, IGFBP3 is linked to colorectal cancer.
