TP53 and Miyoshi myopathy: We showed, using a panel of cell lines with different p53 abnormalities and using knockdown and overexpression studies, that the level of p53 affects its function and response to both genotoxic and nongenotoxic stress providing clear evidence that TP53 is a haploinsufficieent tumor suppressor in MM (Teoh PJ et al. leukemia in press).
