TLR9 and breast cancer: A study conducted by Resler and coworkers using over 800 case and control samples, found that the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP, rs352140) in TLR9, which does not alter protein amino acid sequence but might alter protein function or stability, was associated with breast cancer risk (OR 0.85, 95% CI 0.74–0.97) (87).
