Our results, taken together with recent findings in schizophrenia patients (Kantrowitz and Javitt, 2010; Weickert et al., 2012), may imply that impairment in dopamine-induced NR2B Y1472 phosphorylation and ERK1/2 activation is involved in schizophrenia-like behavior and thus can function as targets for possible therapy. Here, GRIN2B is linked to schizophrenia.
