In the large-scale analysis, Hornerin (S100A16/18), Koebnerisin (S100A7A), Calcitermin (S100A12); and (in two out of three ratios) Psoriasin (S100A7), Calgranulin A (S100A8), and Calgranulin B (S100A9) were all found in very high levels in cholesteatoma tissue. The gene discussed is S100A16; the disease is cholesteatoma.
