We observed that men with a previous history of CAD (n = 38) showed higher mean ABCA1 DNA methylation levels than men without CAD (n = 50) (38.7 ± 1.2 versus 36.0 ± 1.0, P = 0.04; after consideration of age and current treatments) (Figure 1A). Here, ABCA1 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
