IGF1R is one of the most abundantly phosphorylated receptor tyrosine kinases in leukemia cells (10–12), and phosphorylation is increased in leukemia cells with Ara-C resistance (13,14) The IGF1R inhibitor BMS-536924 substantially inhibited growth and proliferation of both mouse and human leukemia cells in vitro (15).
