As many drugs can induce cardiac dysfunction, among them ADs (Downes et al. 2005; Heist and Ruskin 2005), we analyzed analog 3 effects on IKR and IKS currents, the two main potassium channels at cardiac level, that are responsible for torsades de pointe and sudden death (Aizawa et al. 2007; Fenichel et al. 2004; Schechter et al. 2005). This evidence concerns the gene KCNA3 and torsades de pointes.
