In a multivariate analysis including coronary heart disease, atrial fibrillation and heart failure instead of the CCI, the hazard ratio of BNP remained similar for 90 days and for one year (HR 1.2 (95% CI 1.0–1.3) and (HR 1.2 (95% CI 1.0–1.3), respectively) while the other parameters did not remain significant in the multivariate model.
