Using a population that combined women from the general female population and women with a family history of FXS in the US, AMH was lower in women with ≥70 CGG repeats compared to those with <70 repeats aged 31–40 years (p = 0.015); No association was found among women over age 40 or ≤30 (p > 0.08) (Rohr et al., 2008), and this may be due to the exclusion of women who were using hormone treatment. This evidence concerns the gene AMH and fragile X syndrome.
