RHOA and infection: Analysis of cultured cortical neurons (on day 18 in vitro after infection on day 6) indicated that knockdown of RhoA caused no significant change in total spine density (Figure 5B) or in densities of individual spine subtypes, although there was a trend toward an increase in filopodial-like protrusions (p = 0.08; n = 5 independent experiments) (Figure 5C).
