EHT5372 had little effect on levels of the quiescence proteins p130/Rb2 and p27 after 7 days (Fig.6A), but reduced cancer cell numbers 8-fold after 14 days (Fig.6B), suggesting that it was not necessary for a Mirk kinase inhibitor to release tumor cells from quiescence to kill them. This evidence concerns the gene RBL2 and cancer.
