Our immunohistochemical results revealed that in comparison with the data obtained from the noncancerous cervical mucosa, these three signaling pathways are frequently activated (p<0.01) and the expression of PIAS3 was uncommon (11.6%, 5/43, p<0.01) in cervical cancers irrespective to their cell origins. The gene discussed is PIAS3; the disease is cervical cancer.
