The 58 patients who enrolled and completed the intervention were unmarried, had at least a primary education and were of a median age of 32 (23–35) years old, showed no signs of wasting syndrome, had a median CD4 count of 441 (346–489) cells/mm3 and a BMI of 22 (20–23) kg/m2.
