In the current study, 6 out of 11 patients with probable diagnosis of asthma were using HAART, and the amount of CD8+ cells ranged from 236 cells/mm3 to 707 cells/mm3, whereas in those who did not use HAART it ranged from 418 cells/mm3 to 2474 cells/mm3 (data not shown). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and asthma.
