More complications can be expected during PE procedures when fresh frozen plasma is used for replacement [27], [29], and since consumption coagulopathy is not a problem (due to the low number of procedures performed in a single patient) and plasma infusion per se was not shown to be beneficial in hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis [30], we believe there is no need to substitute fresh frozen plasma, and albumin solutions are adequate. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is pancreatitis.
