HF animals had significantly higher levels of leptin (figure 2), that gradually decreased from HF to HFSCEX [(HF) 222±15.5 ng/dl, (HFSC) 181±13.1 ng/dl, (HFEX) 146.2±8.3 ng/dl and [(HFSCEX)*99.4±23.4 ng/dl; *significantly different from HF group; p = 0.0039]. The gene discussed is LEP; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
