In accordance with this result, confocal fluorescence microscopy revealed a decrease in NO (DAF-2DA staining) and an increase in L-NAME-sensitive superoxide generation (DHE staining) in the aortic endothelial layer of WT mice fed HFD as compared to that of the WT mice fed NC (Figure 3), suggesting a role of Arg-II in eNOS-uncoupling in obesity.
