The ‘Immunity’ superset contains a variety of immune response genes including six HLA genes and 18 cytokines or their receptors such as CCL2, CD antigen genes, CXCL10, IL2RB and TLR2. Four of the top five key drivers for the ‘Immunity’ superset (PTPRC, FYB, FCGR1A and FCER1G) participate in the immune response, and three (PTPRC, FYB and FCER1G) have been previously identified as key drivers of an inflammatory gene signature underlying multiple diseases (including CAD) [12]. The gene discussed is PTPRC; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
