In contrast, all other cytokines tested (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12p40, IL-13, MCP-1, RANTES, TNF-α and GM-CSF) were significantly increased after infection, independently of mCLCA3-deficiency, pointing towards selective modulation of a specific subset of cytokines in mCLCA3-deficient mice after bacterial challenge. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is infection.
