Taken together, our studies strongly suggest that nicotine and EGF might be promoting the proliferation, invasion and migration of non-small cell lung cancer cells via up regulating ID1, which leads to the induction of downstream proteins like STMN3 and GSPT1 through the involvement of transcriptional repressors like ZBP89 and NRSF. This evidence concerns the gene GSPT1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
