On one side it increased the tumor latency (Figure 5B and E), raising from 6 to 15 days in control vs STAT3-silenced cells, when injected at 2×105; on the other, the measurement of tumor growth rates once that the tumors started to grow revealed that STAT3-silenced cells displayed a significantly slower proliferation rate than control cells (Figure 5C and F).
