To this end, we assessed in 1,771 German individuals at increased risk for type 2 diabetes, recruited from the Tübingen family (TÜF) study for type 2 diabetes, whether common single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with minor allele frequencies (MAFs) ≥0.05 tagging the human CTF1 locus associate with prediabetic traits. Here, CTF1 is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
