Of the 26 analytes evaluated, 12 (fractalkine, IFN-α2, MCP-1, MIP-1β, VEGF, IL-1β, IL-10, MMP-2, MMP-9, CRP, SAA, and SAP) showed significant differences between the TB cases and non cases in at least one of the three assays, when evaluated in unstimulated supernatants. The gene discussed is IL1B; the disease is tuberculosis.
