BDNF and migraine disorder: As detailed in Table 1, the antidepressant amitriptyline, alone or combined with gabapentin, the anti-migraine drug naratriptan, the 5-HT1A/7 receptor agonist 8-OH-DPAT, the 5-HT3 receptor antagonist ondansetron, the BDNF-Trk B receptor blocker cyclotraxin B, at effective doses to reduce pain in validated neuropathic models in rodents [34]–[39], exerted no anti-allodynic effects up to 3 hours after acute administration in SCT rats.
