Inflammatory mediators such as Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and (MIP-1α) have been associated with osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) [54,55] and accordingly NSAIDs are often prescribed, however with considerable adverse effects, such as damage to gastrointestinal mucosa [56]. Here, IL6 is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
