In this report, we present evidence that 1) In leukemia patients, high NCL expression predicts a poor prognosis; 2) Enforced NCL expression increases leukemia cell proliferation, whereas the disruption of NCL gene abundance inactivates NCL leading to the blockage of leukemia growth; 3) The expression of DNMT is positively correlated with the expression of NCL in leukemia patients. This evidence concerns the gene NUCLEOLIN and leukemia.
