In a sensitivity analysis, the hazard ratio for mortality was 1.44 (95% CI, 1.16–1.79, P = 0.001) after adjusting for age, serum albumin, CD4 cell counts, homelessness, illiteracy, belonging to a disadvantaged community, gender, positive sputum smear, disseminated tuberculosis, and previous ATT. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and miliary tuberculosis.
