Shah et al (13) examined 82 surgically resected stage I–IIIA NSCLC samples for p-Akt by immunohistochemistry and found that high p-Akt levels correlate with high tumor grade, whereby p-Akt is an independent factor for a favorable prognosis for stage I–IIIA NSCLC. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and neoplasm.
