CRP and nutritional disorder: Of the 404 women recruited, a total of 375 were included in the final analysis (twenty-nine were excluded for the following reasons: elevated iron stores (SF >200 μg/L) (n = 2), anemia without iron deficiency (SF ≥ 20 μg/L, Hb < 120 g/L) (n = 16), CRP >10 mg/L (as SF is an acute phase protein and is increased during inflammation and infection [28]) (n = 4), and unavailable dietary data (n = 4) or blood results (n = 3)).
