Focusing on specific genes identified by GSEA that were enriched in pretreatment tumor biopsies, we noted upregulation of numerous cancer/testes antigen genes (G antigen 12B - GAGE12B, X antigen family member 5 - XAGE5, synovial sarcoma X breakpoint 10 - SSX10, and several melanoma antigen (MAGE) family members, encoding tumor-specific cell surface antigens (Supplemental Table S1)) in eventual responders [17].
