In mouse models of allergic diseases, it has been shown that the Vγ1+ subsets can enhance AHR as well as levels of Th2 cytokines in the airways and eosinophilic infiltrates in the lungs [61, 62], and, in contrast, the Vγ4+ subset can be induced to inhibit AHR [63, 64]. This evidence concerns the gene AHR and allergic disease.
