The goal of this study was to investigate the role of a panel of the most representative cytokines of the Th1, Th2, Treg, and Th17 and the angiogenic factors PDGF and VEGF in a group of patients with severe allergy—that is, anaphylaxis—after the ingestion of cow's milk protein (CMP), the most prevalent food allergy in the early years of life. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is anaphylaxis.
