To determine the frequency of primary cilia on CK5-positive (CK5+) versus CK5-negative (CK5-) cells in normal and cancer tissues we co-stained the RM, HNE, and INV patient samples with markers of cilia (acetylated tubulin and γ-tubulin) together with an antibody that recognizes CK5. This evidence concerns the gene KRT5 and cancer.
