RASSF1 and thyroid gland follicular carcinoma: Methylation levels above 50% of alleles was only observed in follicular thyroid cancer, while it was not observed in benign neoplasms of the thyroid gland, suggesting that methylation through silencing both RASSF1A gene alleles may play an important role in the pathogenesis and development of follicular thyroid cancer[1,4,5,29].
