BCL2 and melanoma: We hypothesized that BRAF inhibitor therapy would modulate both pro- and anti-apoptotic BCL-2 family members and sought to investigate the effects of BRAF-directed therapy on the RNA and protein expression of BCL-2 family members, by comparing pre- and on-treatment biopsies of patients with BRAF mutant melanoma treated with either single-agent vemurafenib or the combination of dabrafenib and trametinib.
